Clara Katherine Delgado, 86, of Turlock, passed away on January 12, 2023. Clara was born on March 24, 1936 to Paul Mark and Katherie Mark in Turlock, CA. She met the love of her life, Edward Delgado, and they wed in 1958. They had four children, Charles Anthony Lamb, Jr., David Paul Lamb, Terrie Lynn Delgado and Kimberly Lynn Nilsson. She lived in San Jose until 1973 when they moved to Delhi where they built a successful business and worked together for over 20 years before they retired. They loved to travel. They went on several cruises, traveled to Hawaii and did several road trips to various states. Clara was funny and quick-witted and had a great personality and she loved to tell jokes. Her laugh was contagious. Everyone who met her loved and adored her. She made friends wherever she went. She excelled at propping up friends and family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Clara loved being with her family. She loved filling her home with warmth and kindness. She was a fabulous cook. She loved to entertain and was happiest when she was feeding people. Her favorite foods to cook were from her Lebanese heritage, grape leaves, shish kabob, leg of lamb, rice pilaf and her famous green beans. She was also a fabulous baker and loved making cakes for every occasion. You could always count on a home-made dessert after one of her home-cooked meals. Clara was a compassionate, loving and a very selfless woman. She put everyone’s needs first; never wanting anything in return. She loved showering her family with gifts, and Christmas was no exception. Gifts would be piled up high around the Christmas tree. But, her main priority in life was taking care of her husband, Ed, who was a life-long diabetic, and that she did. We are comforted to know that they are now reunited and dancing together again in Heaven. Clara loved the Lord. She will be forever in our hearts. Clara was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Katherine Mark, her husband, Edward, her daughter Terrie Lynn Delgado, her brothers David Paul Mark and Solomon Mark, her sisters, Lydia and Rhoda and her grandson, Matthew. She is survived by her children, Charles, David and Kimberly as well as 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren and many, many friends.
