Mary Y. Suarez

Mary Y. Suarez passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 6, 2022. She was born on May 15, 1954 in El Paso, Texas. She moved to California and lived most of her life in the Turlock area. She graduated from Turlock High School and went on to work in food processing production. Over the years, she worked for Valchris, Patterson Frozen Foods, Banquet, and ConAgra. It was ConAgra that she met the love of her life, Charles Suarez. Charles and Mary were married in Lake Tahoe, Nevada on October 15, 1988. Mary enjoyed reading, cooking, and baking. She was known for her delicious homemade cookies and baked goodies that she gifted to family, neighbors, and many friends. She loved spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite activities was camping with her loved ones. Mary was a member of the school PTA and spent her free time volunteering for many of the school functions. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. In her early years, she attended Modesto Foursquare Church, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Mary was also a member of New Life Church in Turlock, and over the last few years attended Kingsway Foursquare Church when she was physically able to. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Juan and Mariana Dominguez; her mother, Dora Dominguez; and her brother, Jesse Dominguez. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Charles Suarez; her children, Michael (Jessica) Suarez of Turlock, Jeremy Suarez of London, England, and Felicia (Alfonso) Caballero of Modesto; her seven grandchildren, Adam and Evan Suarez, Miranda Raya, Ava, Micah, Jesiah, and Alfonso Caballero; her siblings; Manuel (Liz) Morales, Gloria (Jim) Hodge, her aunt; Julie Dominguez, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was especially close to her cousin, Michelle Nunez. All who loved her will miss Mary. A visitation is being held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, in the Main Chapel. Following the visitation, a funeral service is being held at 11:00 a.m. After the service, Mary will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
