Sotero C. Torres era un esposo, padre, abuelo y gran amigo. El trabajo en Snieder Lumber Company por 20 años y después trabajo en Varco Pruden Steel Company donde trabajo por 10 años y se jubilo de esa compañía. En su pasatiempo le gustaba hacer barbacoa para su familia, le gustaba plantar y cuidar de sus frutas y verduras. También tocaba la guitarra con su familia y amigos y estaba en dos grupos musicales, Los Únicos en los 80’s y Grupo los Fureños en los 90’s. Sotero era humilde, trabajador y ayudaba a todas las personas. Le encantaba viajar a México y visitar a su familia. Su familia lo va recordar como una persona que le encantaba cantar, tocar, tomar su tequila, comer dulces, hacer chistes y dar consejos. Al jubilarse, por las tardes le gustaba caminar con su esposa. Él era un hombre que le encantaba estar al aire libre. Cuando se reunía con sus hijos y nietos contaba historias de su niñez y juventud. Sotero falleció el 14 de enero del 2022 a los 77 años. El está descansando en paz y está reunido con su esposa de 51 años, Linda Pelayo Torres. Es sobrevivido por sus hijos Rosalinda Torres, Marisa Torres y Sotero Torres Jr. Sus nietos Valeria Silva, Vanessa Silva, Andrew Torres Silva, Jessica Silva, Elvis Silva, Ernesto Silva, Jordan Torres y Romeo Torres. Torres was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great friend. He worked at Snieder Lumber Company for 20 years then he worked at Varco Pruden Steel Company and retired after serving 10 years. His hobbies included barbecuing for the family, agricultural farming and harvesting fruits and vegetables. He played his acoustic guitar throughout his life in different music groups with his family and friends. He joined the group called Los Únicos in the 80s and Grupo los Fureños in the 90s. He was loving, humble, strict, hardworking, and would help others whenever he could. He loved traveling back to Mexico to visit family. Once he retired he enjoyed taking walks with his wife around their neighborhood. His family will remember him as a man who loved singing, drinking his tequila, making people laugh, and loved telling stories of his youth. Sotero passed away January 14, 2022 at 77 years old. He is now resting in peace and has been reunited in heaven with his wife of 51 years, Linda Pelayo Torres. He is survived by his children Rosalinda Torres, Marisa Torres and Sotero Torres Jr. Grandchildren Valeria Silva, Vanessa Silva, Andrew Torres Silva, Jessica Silva, Elvis Silva, Ernesto Silva, Jordan Torres y Romeo Torres. Son-in-law Eddie and daughter-in-law Daniela.
