Celeste Feno Drumonde (née Estacio), age 74, passed away surrounded by family on June 24, 2025. Born on October 1, 1950, in Ponta Delgada, Flores in the Azores Islands of Portugal. Celeste’s life was a testament to devotion, devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. Celeste immigrated to the United States in 1956 with her parents and settled in the Central Valley of California, where she graduated from Turlock High School in 1968 before pursuing her passion for beauty and care at Adrian's Beauty College. Her education laid the foundation for a life centered around nurturing others, whether through her professional work or her personal relationships. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Manuel, for 49 years and a loving mother to their children: Manuel Jr. (Sandra), Chrissy, Marcus (Hollie), and Carleen (Robbie). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Sara, Mason, Mathis, Carina, Marcus Jr., Drake, and a grandson expected in September. Celeste also held a special place in the hearts of many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, whom she helped raise with loving affection. Family was central to Celeste’s life. She shared deep bonds with her siblings Mary Swanson (Don), John Estacio (Angela), Carlos Estacio III (Bernadette), Jimmy Estacio (Lori), Julie Teran (Gerald), Bobby Estacio (Belina), Tony Estacio (Gabby), sister-in-law Mary Estacio and brother in laws, Oscar Drumonde (Luisiana) and Tony Drumonde (Cidalia). She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Maria Estacio; her brother, Joe Estacio; and an infant brother. Celeste found great joy in gardening and traveling, activities that reflected both her love of nature and her adventurous spirit. But perhaps most dear to her heart was caring for the younger generations of her family. Whether tending to grandchildren or supporting nieces and nephews, she offered unwavering love and guidance. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She honored the Blessed Virgin Mary with steadfast devotion, often turning to her in prayer and reflection. A devout parishioner of All Saints University Parish as well as Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Celeste actively participated in religious communities throughout Turlock and beyond. She was a past president alongside her husband in 2000 for Our Lady of the Rosary Festa (Hilmar). She was a dedicated member of several organizations such as the Young Ladies Institute (Hilmar), Portuguese Fraternal Society of America (PFSA), Cabrillo Club (Hilmar), Our Lady of Fatima Turlock, and Our Lady of Miracles Gustine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the All Saints University Parish Building Fund (4040 McKenna Dr, Turlock, Ca 95382) in Celeste's name, a fitting tribute to a life that was built upon compassion, generosity, and spiritual devotion or a charity of your choice. May Celeste’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Turlock Memorial Park & Funeral Home (425 N Soderquist Rd, Turlock, Ca) with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church (1200 Lyons Ave, Turlock, Ca) on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at 10:00 am. The service will honor Celeste’s enduring faith and the profound impact she had on those around her.
