Don Agresti, 76, passed away on Wednesday, September 3rd surrounded by his loving family. Don was born on September 19, 1937 in Daly City to Joseph and Valentina Agresti. They moved to Ceres, CA in 1942 to become successful farmers. Don spent his life working side-by- side with his brother and his son on the hog farm; known to most as “The Ranch”. He was a hardworking man and never lost his drive. Continuing up to his final days, he was at the ranch working on equipment, running parts, and of course, calling the shots. He had many friends and was very social. His interests included working, family, cooking, boating, abalone diving, accordion festivals, and polka music. He was active in the community, consistently providing his culinary talents. He cooked dinners for the Men’s Club, Our Lady of Fatima Church, Monday nights at the Barn, CHP Christmas banquets, and countless fundraiser crab feeds. He loved to entertain large parties regularly at his home. Don was happiest in the kitchen and in his backyard cook shack creating traditional Italian dishes with friends and family. Don will be greatly missed. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Valentina Agresti, his wife, Doris Agresti and his son, Randall Agresti. Don is survived by his sons, Richard Agresti (Tami) of Turlock, Ronald Agresti (Ruth) of Indian Wells, his daughter Kimberly Custer (Russell) of Modesto, his grandchildren Jason and Clinton Agresti, Heidi Dominguez (Dominic), Jillian Terpstra (Nick), Tiffani Souza (Marc), Kristina Espindula (Darrell), Matthew, Shawn, and Kyle Alexander, three great grandchildren, his brother, Harold Agresti (Marlene) of Ceres and his girlfriend, Darlene Baroni of San Rafael. All services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, California. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a recitation of the rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 A.M. There will be a reception following the funeral service at Turlock Ballroom on 528 N. Golden State Blvd., Turlock.
