It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisco “Juni” Javier Perez, a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Juni, (42), of Turlock, CA, passed away on December 11, 2023 in Modesto, CA. Juni was born on October 21, 1981 to Javier Perez and Maria de Jesus Salazar in Jalisco, Mexico. Juni was always a hands-on man, with a talent in mechanics and appliance repair. Following his education at Modesto Junior College, he dedicated most of his spare time to said passion. In his final year, he picked up a love for the service industry. He enjoyed working at his new job, La Parrilla, in Modesto. Though he was a quiet man, Juni thrived in the industry, serving others with great food and an even greater smile. He found joy in spending quality time with his large family, making sure to show up for most of their gatherings. His nieces and nephews could always count on him to be there for any school, birthday, or sporting event. With a laugh so infectious, his family loved to crack jokes with him. His laugh is something his family will never forget; the way his eyes would glimmer and the way his whole body would bounce with each breath of laughter that escaped him. Juni’s family remembers him as selfless, strong, and attentive. He was a man full of life and passion, with many goals and aspirations. He cared for his family so deeply, and he loved everyone just as much. While his life was cut too soon, his family and those who knew him take pride in having had the opportunity to know and love him. Juni was preceded in death by his grandparents: Eliseo Salazar and Abigail Ocegueda, Pedro Perez and Maria Guadalupe Tovar. He is survived by his parents, Javier Perez and Maria de Jesus Salazar and by his six siblings: Jose Angel Perez (Maria Perez Verduzco), Juan Pedro Perez (Alma Perez Rizo), Javier Tovar, Liliana Perez Martinez (Noe Martinez), Maria del Socorro Perez Castro (Gustavo Castro), and Luis Miguel Perez (Denise Perez Saldivar). He is also survived by his 19 nieces and nephews: Isaiah Tovar, Alondra Pérez, Gustavo Pérez, Alexis Pérez, Jarely Pérez, Andrea Pérez, Juan Martínez, Ximena Pérez, Kathy Martínez, Lalo Castro, Angelica Pérez, Cristian Pérez, Paulina Castro, Maci Tovar, Thiago Martínez, Camila Castro, Matthew Pérez, Leilani Pérez, and Nathan Pérez. Visitation will be held at the Turlock Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 4–7 PM. A Rosary will be held at 6 PM. 425 N Soderquist Rd, Turlock, CA 95380 The Funeral Mass in honor of Francisco Javier Perez will take place on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock. 1301 Cooper Ave, Turlock, CA 95380 Following the Mass, a burial will take place at Turlock Memorial Park. 575 N Soderquist Rd, Turlock, CA 95380 May these gatherings serve as an opportunity for everyone touched by Juni’s life to come together, ﬁnd solace in shared memories, and celebrate the impact he had on the lives of those around him.
