Nannette Zoe Plett-Kruppa, 67, died unexpectedly on August 18, 2022 with her dear husband Carl J. Kruppa and their beloved dog Ebony. Nan was born April 30, 1955 in Seattle, Washington to Don and Esther Farnstrom as the eldest daughter of 5 children. Nan left home after high school to attend Pepperdine College in Malibu, California. She then came to Turlock, CA where her grandmother lived to attend Stanislaus State College. Her education was interrupted by a man named Jerry Plett. They were married on December 26, 1976 and settled in Turlock. Jerry went home to be with Jesus on December 14, 2004 leaving Nan a widow with 4 young adult children. Not long before Jerry’s death, Nan had returned to school and become a registered nurse. She would work in that profession until her retirement. While at work, she met a patient’s cousin. A man named Carl J. Kruppa who had also been widowed. They married March 10, 2013 and lived in Winton, California adventuring together through life and enjoying their combined family of 8 children and 16 grandchildren. Nan loved Jesus. Always had as long as she could remember. But more and more as she experienced life. She was a Christian in fact and deed. She considered her work as a nurse ministry and faced each day and every patient with that mindset. She also happened to have a lot of common sense in addition to wisdom and both filtered through every part of her life. God gifted her with a sweet and kind disposition. She always looked you in the eye. Listened well. Always made the time. Nan cared. Nan loved her family. Being a mother and grandmother was one of her greatest joys. When her grandchildren began arriving, she put much time and love into nourishing relationships with each one of them. Nan enjoyed gardening which was her “therapy”, quilting, reading, and spending time with people. She loved the ocean, camping, and traveling. She loved life. She is preceded in death by her father Donald Farnstrom, husband Jerry Plett, and brother Eric Farnstrom. She is survived by her children, Jason Plett (Karin), Joel Plett (Heidi), Jacob Plett (Lindsay), Jenna Lellhame (Jordan); her mother, Esther Farnstrom; her brother, Daryl Farnstrom; her sisters Sherrill Farnstrom and Sarah Bullock; her grandchildren Hadley Plett, Magnus Plett, Clayton Lellhame, Donevan Plett, Lane Lellhame, Hudson Plett, Gunnar Plett, Nolan Plett, Ainsley Lellhame, and Jesse Plett.
