Theresa Lucille Cannella-Stinson, a resident of Turlock, passed away suddenly at Emanuel Medical Center on Thursday, May 27th, at the age of 36. Generous and selfless in all that she did, Theresa always wanted to help others. Through her passing, she was able to save four lives with her organ donations. Theresa was born and raised in Turlock to John Anthony Cannella and Debra Joy Costa Cannella. She attended Sacred Heart School, Turlock High School and Branden University. For the last 17 years, she worked at Sacred Heart Preschool where she found immense joy teaching her students and shaping the minds of her little ones. Her passion for teaching was so important to her, that she was in the process of opening up her own preschool, TLC Montessori. A woman of faith, Theresa was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church. In her spare time, she loved hiking, camping, gardening, exploring the flea markets with her husband and, most of all, spending time with her family. Theresa loved her family unconditionally and always made sure to keep in touch with her cousins. She made everyone feel loved and not a day goes by that she won’t be missed. Theresa leaves behind her loving parents, John and Debbie Cannella; her sisters, Angela Roe and Toni Wickstrom; her grandfather, Donald (Jean) Costa Sr.; her godparents, Sal and Donna Cannella; her nieces and nephews, Dalton, and Gianna Roe, Everest and Keegan Wickstrom; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and students. Theresa is also survived by her husband, and the love of her life, Andrew Stinson. Andrew and Theresa were married in a beautiful ceremony in Hilmar on May 1, 2021. Although they were only married for a short time, they loved each other deeply and shared many wonderful memories together. Theresa was preceded in death by both her grandmothers, Ann Costa and Lucille Cannella; her grandfather, Anthony Cannella; and her cousin, Joey Manrique. The Rosary, followed by the funeral Mass, will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Following the Mass, Theresa will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Upon conclusion of the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held at Sacred Heart Parish Gymnasium, 600 Rose St., Turlock.
