In Loving Memory of Vahik Reyhanabadi June 11, 1952 – January 14, 2025 Wahan Panosi Reyhanabadi, affectionately known as Vahik or Wally, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Modesto, California. Born on June 11, 1952, in Urmia, Iran, Vahik’s journey was a life filled with faith and an easy-going spirit that touched all who knew him. Raised in Urmia, Vahik completed high school before immigrating to the United States, where he pursued higher education in Oregon and Oklahoma. His academic journey laid the foundation for a life filled with learning and accomplishment. Vahik married Najiba Safi on August 19, 1977, in Oklahoma City building a family until her untimely passing in 2005. On September 3, 2009, he married Wilma Khoubier, and they lived in Little Rock, Arkansas, continuing their life of devotion and partnership. A respected City Club Manager, Vahik led with grace and distinction at the Petroleum Club of Oklahoma City and the Little Rock Club and was an active member of the Club Management Association of America until his retirement in 2019. His career reflected his impeccable taste and his ability to create spaces where people felt welcomed and valued. Beyond his professional life, Vahik’s passions were as vibrant as his character. He loved playing and collecting dombak drums, backgammon, crossword puzzles, reading and drawing. He had a love for soccer, classic films, and Westerns. His knowledge of fine wine brought joy to many. A devout Christian, he was baptized at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, later becoming a member of St. John Presbyterian Church in Turlock. Vahik’s family was a significant part of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Wilma; his daughters, Mariam Clark and Michelle Boyd; his stepson, Sam Khoubier; sons-in-law, Brad Clark and Dagen Boyd; daughter-in-law, Sandra Khoubier; and his cherished grandchildren, Crew, Emerson, Caris, Caroline, Ivy, Ayla, and Eliya. He also leaves behind his father, Mesrop Panosian, and brother, Vartan Reihanabad. He was predeceased by his first spouse, Najiba Reyhanabadi; mother, Gohar Panosian; and sister, Lernik Hovsepian. Vahik was a man of extraordinary kindness, known for his infectious warmth and ability to brighten every room he entered. His deep faith and generosity inspired those around him. A celebration of Vahik’s life will take place on Saturday, February 8, at 10 a.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, located at 425 N. Soderquist Rd, Turlock, CA.
