Dinesh Chand Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dinesh Chand, 51, of Modesto, California, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. at Central Valley Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center. Dinesh was born on December 26, 1969 in Fiji Islands, to Mr. Jadu Bans and Sukhmati Mangal. Dinesh moved to the United States in 2006. He worked for Prices and Income Board in Fiji for 18 years before transitioning his career to the Quality Department at EJ Gallo Winery for 11 years. Dinesh was a person who saw life as a celebration and lived his life to the fullest. He loved soccer, cooking, listening to UB40 and old Hindu music, going to the Casino, and getting together with his uncles and cousins to play 7 Hand. Dinesh loved life and touched many hearts with his warm personality. Dinesh is survived by his wife, Shirley Naidu; children, Sharlene Bans, Alwyn Bans and Dylan Chand; mother, Sukhamati Mangal; brothers, Hirdesh Chand and Sudesh Chand; sister, Rita Chand; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s, nieces and nephews. Dinesh was preceded in death by his beloved father, Jadu Bans and oldest brother, Kamlesh Chand. Dinesh was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew and friend to all. May God grant his soul a rest in peace in heaven.
