Donald Lee Shively passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 72. Don was born and raised in the Modesto-Ceres area and attended Ceres High School. He married Karin Collins on October 10, 1970, and they settled in Turlock in 1972. Don was a lifelong mason working for Turnbull Masonry for 18 years. In 1988, he got his contractor’s license and started his own business, Don Shively Masonry. Don prided himself on being an honest businessman and providing his customers with the highest quality work. Many lifelong friendships were built through his business. Don worked for many years but eventually found time to get away. He enjoyed taking his sand rail on camping trips to Pismo and Dumont, grocery shopping, cooking for his family, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, June and Pete Canning, and his father, Don Shively. He is survived by his wife, Karin Shively; children, Kristen Souza and David (Carri) Shively; grandchildren, Kylie (Darryn) Pacheco, Lance Souza, Brayden and Addison Shively; great-grandson, Reed Pacheco; siblings, Mikal (John) and Stevin; and aunts, Mary (Daryl) Dinelli and Bunny Shively. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA.
