Gerald H. Lopes

Gerald Harry Lopes, a resident of Turlock, passed away on April 1, 2022, in his home. He was born to Harry Lopes and Lillian Rodrigues on April 18, 1940, in California. Jerry was raised in Patterson, California. He joined the Marine Corps after high school, and he served for four years. He married the love of his life, Sally Delgado, on November 15, 1964, in Newman, California. He worked for General Motors for almost 30 years until retiring in 1998. Jerry loved planes, fishing, and a variety of water sports. He also loved taking all seven of his grandsons on their special trip anywhere in the continent of North American when they reached 11 years of age. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, where he donated much of his time working with young adults and older adults. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lillian Lopes. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sally; his daughters, Teri (Jeff) Kohli, Tami (Dave) Bonebrake, and Toni (Carlos) Lucas; his seven grandsons, Jasen, Tanner, Conner, Damen, Mikel, Marcus, and Christopher; and his sister, Pat (Steve) Fells.
