Glenwood Bailey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Glenwood Dexter Bailey, age 99, passed away in Turlock, California on Saturday, April 9, 2022. He was born on October 22, 1922 in Marshall, Arkansas to John Bailey and Dottie Neel. Glenwood was raised in the Dinuba area. He married his wife, Elyse Bailey Tarrelli, in California. Glenwood was a resident of Ferndale, Hayward, Turlock, Santa Cruz, and Scotts Valley. He served in the army for three years. Afterwards, he received his license in mortuary sciences at a mortuary school in San Francisco and was a mortician for over 43 years. He worked at Gobles Mortuary, Hayward Mortuary, Allen’s Mortuary, Whites Chapel, and Livermore Mortuary. Glenwood loved farming, gardening, growing vegetables, and hunting. He had a special interest in working on small engines, clocks, and using all equipment. He was a member of the Masonic Temple, Eastern Star Lodge, Lions, and Boys Scouts as a Scouts Master. Glenwood was preceded in death by his son, Howard Bailey. He is survived by his children, James L. Bailey, Danny Bailey, Peggy Gonzalez, Glen Carson, Janice Carson, and Mark Carson; and lots of grandchildren. The family asks that donations be made in Glenwood’s honor to The ALS Association.
