Jerry W. Dover Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jerry Wayne Dover of Turlock, CA on June 4, 2022 at the age of 71. Jerry was predeceased by his mother, Elvera Baldwin and his brother, John Dover. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Jane of 29 years; his children, Jerry Dover Jr. (Leah), Michelle Dover, Elizabeth Silva (Victor), Tiffany Dover (Hamann Nguyen), Jennifer Rodrigues (John); and step-children, whom he raised and loved as his own, Ryan Gosik and Tara Shaw (Cliff); siblings, Dan Baldwin, Jim Baldwin and Jim Dover; 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Born in Turlock, Jerry was a lifelong resident of the Crows Landing/Turlock area. He grew up on a dairy and was happiest farming, working on big equipment, riding a tractor or chopping corn. In later years he and Jane traveled frequently in their RV, which took them across the USA and into Canada. A dream of traveling to Madeira Island and Portugal was realized in 2010. Jerry was a member of the Elks, The Goodtimers RV Club, The Get-Away Gang RV Club and Waterford Sportsman Club where he loved to trap shoot. His latest endeavor was restoring his 1959 Ford Ranchero. Jerry will be forever remembered for his big smile and even bigger heart. A visitation is being held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N Soderquist Rd, in the Main Chapel. A recitation of the rosary is being held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the Main Chapel. A Mass is being held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock.
