Juan G. Vera

Juan G. Vera, age 72, passed away at home on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Juan was born on February 5, 1950 in Monterrey, Mexico to Pedro Vera & Isabel Salinas. He was raised in the Turlock area and was a resident of Denair for many years. He married his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Vera, on August 16, 1969 in Turlock, California. Juan worked as a truck driver for several years before retiring in 2009. Juan enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, and going to the casino. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Juan is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Vera; his four children, Linda Carranza, Marissa Perez, Juan Vera Jr., and Daniel Vera; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock in the Main Chapel. Following the visitation, a recitation of the rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Chapel. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Following the funeral mass, Juan will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
