Martina Mendonca

June 29, 1977 - December 23, 2021

Martina C. Mendonca, a resident of Ceres, passed away in Modesto, CA, on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the age of 44. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Leroy Mendonca; mother, Minnie Ohiri; sons, Brandon Cavazos, Gabriel Mendonca, Christian Mendonca, and Leo Mendonca; daughter, Sophia Mendonca; brother, Frank Cavazos; and sisters, Jessica and Lola Cavazos. Martina is reunited in heaven with her father, Martin Cavazos and brother, Martin Cavazos, Jr. Martina was born and raised in San Jose, CA, where she attended Overfelt High School. She went on to attend Merced College and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant from 2000 to 2006. Her passion in life was her family, however. She married her loving husband, Leroy Mendonca, on July 15, 2007, in South Lake Tahoe. Together they raised a family and Martina found great joy in devoting herself to being a wonderful wife and mother. In her spare time, she enjoyed scrapbooking, arts & crafts, music, and movies. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. All services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Following the funeral, Martina will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
